• A SPECIAL LOCATION

Goat Mountain is an isolated rocky formation extending out from the desert floor in Landers, California. It’s about one square mile, and the hike to the top takes about 10 minutes. From the top of the mountain, you can see a spattering of other desert landmarks, including: the Giant Rock Airport, the Integratron, and Joshua Tree National Park. At one point in time, prospectors pulled veins of gold from the mountain. Now, these mines are abandoned and the bowl-shaped valley on top of Goat Mountain is quiet and serene. This is the home of our chapel. This is where we pray.

  • THE SUN AND THE MOON

From this vantage point, our humble church is surrounded by surreal beauty. After the opening act of a gorgeous desert sunset, the  night sky is illuminated with endless stars and celestial bodies. We prefer to host our ceremonies on the new moon, when you can peer deep back into the furthest reaches of the solar system.

  • OUR CEREMONIES

For our ceremonies, we welcome small groups to join us (5–10 people) on the top of the mountain for a special religious ceremony that includes: virtual reality, music, vegan food, sunset yoga, a fire pit, medicinal substances, beverages, and the night sky. Our schedule is constantly changing, so reservations and a modest donation are required. Please contact for more information: info@flatsitter.com
